Mother's Day craft: Make A Homemade Bouquet 🌸

Mother’s Day means something different to everyone. It’s a time to celebrate the special role models in our lives - whoever they may be! Whether it’s a mom, grandmother, aunt, sister, teacher, or friend, these caregivers and mentors help shape the little artists we love.

That’s why we created this joyful, hands-on activity: the Honeysticks DIY Bouquet Craft. It’s a beautiful blend of creativity and appreciation - perfect for kids to gift to anyone who inspires them most.

🌼 What You'll Need:

  • Honeysticks crayons (made from 100% pure New Zealand beeswax!)

  • White drawing paper

  • Colored paper (for the flowerpot)

  • Kid-safe scissors

  • Glue stick

  • Real flower heads (fresh or pressed)

  • Optional: a plate or bowl to hold the flowers

✨ Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Draw the Stems
Use green Honeysticks crayons to draw tall flower stems rising from the center of your page. Add a few leafy shapes to fill it out.

2. Make the Flowerpot
Cut out a colorful flowerpot shape from a sheet of paper. Let little ones decorate it however they like—squiggles, stripes, hearts—anything goes!

3. Assemble the Pot
Glue or tape the pot over the base of the stems, adding a top rim with an extra paper strip for a 3D effect.

4. Add Real Flowers
Now the magic: glue real flower heads onto the paper bouquet. It brings the whole creation to life—and smells lovely too!

5. Personalize It
Encourage your child to write a message like “Happy Mother’s Day,” “Thank you Mom,” or even just a heart and their name. This makes it truly personal for the person they admire most.

💡 Grown-Up Tips:

  • Fold the paper before starting to turn it into a greeting card.

  • Use dried or pressed flowers for a longer-lasting bouquet.

  • Talk about the different role models in your child’s life while creating!

This isn’t just a craft—it’s a keepsake from the heart. So whether your child is gifting it to Mom, Nana, a family friend, or a favorite teacher, this Honeysticks DIY Bouquet is a lovely way to say “thank you for helping me grow.” 🌱💖
